Bruce Jenner said in preparation for the Olympics, he trained every day for the span of four years.
That is the commitment of a champion. The key to success is to create momentum against the inertia. Nothing matters but the goal. I got to see it in my mind to complete the task at hand.
I intend to run an 11 km Hill run by Christmas this year. Alas, I should not succumb to over-training. Start slow but be consistent.
I wa[s] (want) to just run. Running is about weight, not about age. If I can go to 70 kg or even better 60 kg, I will run my heart out. I want to run into my old age. No need to worry about anything else. Just run...
Tomorrow is another day that I look forward to the 10 km Training. I must think like an athlete. I am no longer a rat in a rat race. I am a Lone Warrior on a quest for meaning.
My meaning is when I can keep on running. As long as I can run, I am a man fully functioning. I fulfill my role as a good animal, a compassionate man, and a passionate soul.
The rest are just the backdrop to this Vision Quest. I need to move towards my destiny. I make my own circumstances. I will make a point to be the King of Bukit Kiara. That is my personal trophy.
From a pack-a-day smoker, I will rise to be a Half Marathoner, running the Hill Run. This I must do. I do it for me. "You got to go through hell to be in heaven," said Tim Grover.
I will be in heaven come 24/12/24. Nothing else matters. I just keep on running. That is my 60th Year Glory as the Wood Dragon. I must do it!
Tomorrow is the 10 km Training again. These next 3 months, my focus is on the run. I have to keep on moving. The key is in moving.
