31/7/23 ^^^ I am on my own again

So based on the simplest explanation, I was delusional.

All the while all those realization means nothing.  They were due to unstable neurotransmitters.  That is the simplest explanation.

The question is, do I accept the simplest explanation?

Is the simplest explanation the best explanation as mentioned by the Law of Parsimony?

Yes, the principle you are referring to is called Occam's razor or the Law of Parsimony. Occam's razor is a problem-solving and heuristic principle attributed to the medieval English philosopher and Franciscan friar, William of Ockham.

The principle states that when faced with multiple explanations for a phenomenon, the simplest or most straightforward explanation should be preferred over more complex ones. In other words, the explanation with the fewest assumptions and entities is often the most likely to be true.

Occam's razor is a guideline rather than an absolute rule, and it has been widely used in various scientific, philosophical, and problem-solving contexts. Scientists often invoke Occam's razor when evaluating competing theories, favoring the one that requires the fewest speculative elements and aligns better with empirical evidence.

However, it's crucial to remember that Occam's razor is not a guarantee that the simplest explanation is always correct. In some cases, more complex explanations might be necessary to account for all the relevant factors and evidence accurately. The principle should be used judiciously, and its application depends on the specific context and the quality of evidence available.

Ultimately, the search for truth and understanding often involves a careful and thoughtful examination of the available evidence, and the most reasonable explanation should be chosen based on all relevant considerations.
